加拿大的政府刚宣布新的政策。他们说从加拿大大学毕业的国际学生现在可以申请没有条件的3年的工作签证。以前，险情工作签证需要毕业生找到了一分跟他们的专科有关系的工作。另外，这到签证会在一年后绝气。续订工作签证很难，申请permanent resident的身份既长。因此，国际学生根本没有机会待在加拿大工作或做加拿大的人民。

我以前很想待在加拿大，因为我很喜欢多伦多的生活，我也遇到很多好朋友和一个非常体贴的男朋友。因为申请工作签证很难，我一直以为我没机会待在这个完美的国家。因此，前几个月，我打算要回新加坡或去上海体验中国的生活。尽管我的面前出现了这么大的待在加拿大机会，我也打算要回去亚洲。

我这样打算的原因我不清楚。一部分是跟中国的全球地位有关系。我认为中国的经济和大权发展是不可避免的。不知道什么时候才能改进到美国的地步，可是我知道是在我辈子中。另一个理由是跟我自己的好奇心有关系。我是一个非常西化的华侨。汉语才学了四年。中国文化完全不理解。我也对韩国的日本很有兴趣 － 特别是日本。日本人很不象别的亚洲的人民。对我来说，他们的文化和人民很神秘。我知道很多亚洲人还怨恨日本人，不能原谅他们的残酷行为。我祖先也受到日本的酷刑。可是，我认为我不应该用前一代的行为来判断现一带的人。反而，我很想了解他们。为什么他们有这种抱负？为什么他们不象别的社会？真是很神秘的一个国家

总之，我打算回亚洲。我很希望我这个选择是对的。
